100% Funds Go Back To The Community

Nobody gets paid. Everyone at GLAST is a volunteer. We need your support today. Listed below are ways we can offer assistance to LGBTQ+ in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky who struggle with addiction.

Sober Living

Sober living houses more commonly called sober homes and sober living homes and more rarely sober living environments, are facilities used by people recovering from substance abuse that serve as an interim environment between rehab and mainstream society. Most sober livings require monthly rent. Some people lose their jobs and families. We will assist in helping people make payments until they get on their feet.

Treatment & Rehabilitation

Drug rehabilitation (often drug rehab or just rehab) is a term for the processes of medical or psychotherapeutic treatment, for dependency on psychoactive substances.  Rehab can be expensive. Offering financial assistance for treatment and airfare is apart of our vision.

Food & Shelter

Offering assistance to LGBTQ+ people with groceries, hotel vouchers, clothing, toiletries, etc

Drug & Alcohol Free Events

Creating sober events for LGBTQ+ people is key to a long, excited life of recovery. Funds will go to pool parties, sober dance parties, bingo night, drag shows, etc.

Transportation

We would like to assist addicted LGBTQ+ people with bus vouchers, Uber rides, taxi rides. This allows LGBTQ+ to attend 12 step meetings, IOP and appointments.

Medical Services

GLAST would like to assist with prescription costs and medical expenses.

Coffee For All

LGBTQ+ people in recovery need a place to fellowship and laugh besides the bars, bathhouses & hotels. It's vital to people in early recovery to surround themselves with like minded people.  We are working with coffee shops in the Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area to host a safe place for people to fellowship and meet each other.  We are looking for people to provide a credit so people without funds can have a place to socialize besides the bars.

Operations

Cincinnati Gay Pride attracts over 90,000 people in June. We are looking for a donor to sponsor the print cost for Cincinnati's LGBTQ+ substance abuse resource guide. GLAST will hand these out at Gay Pride.

Make A Difference

The measure of life is not its duration, but its donation.
